Take a Seat, Smash It Up

This lesson was less fun for me. For the first half hour we sat in the old fashion room and in front of us sat an arrangement of random shit a sculpture which had chairs coming out from it in all directions. We had to draw the chairs but started off by drawing cubes (two sides of the cube would later on become the back and seat of the chair) from perspective against a horizon line.

The next half hour we sat in the life room and drew a model (fully clothed this time… which was somehow more difficult than drawing them naked) sitting on a chair. I discovered that although I’m not very good at drawing chairs in perspective, I do have a natural talent for drawing chaise lounges…IMG_1124 (1)
