It’s great to be getting back into some more life drawing this semester. Today we focused on arcs and our lecturer Michael talked us through frames and rotations:
We started off with a warm up exercise of 1 minute poses. I’m still not fast enough to finish the drawings but I am noticing that my leg proportions are getting better although, I want to study more thigh and torso shapes.
We tried a new exercise where we drew the model who held a pose for a minute and then moved into a different pose while keeping the feet in place. We drew the three poses on top of each other to demonstrate the arcs that the body proportions move through:
